Combined Sarasota County has about 4,000-plus acres of beach creating 35 miles of linear beachfront property running through five of its six drivable islands from Longboat Key South to Manasota Key. Here is a list of 13 beaches in Sarasota County:
- North Lido Beach - Lido Key
- Lido Beach - Lido Key
- South Lido Beach - Lido Key
- Siesta Beach - Siesta Key
- Turtle Beach - Siesta Key
- Palmer Point Beach - Siesta Key
- Nokomis Beach - Casey Key
- North Jetty Beach - Casey Key
- Venice Beach - Venice
- Brohard Beach - Venice
- Caspersen Beach - Venice
- Manasota Key Beach - Manasota Key
- Blind Pass Beach - Manasota Key
Sarasota’s only drivable key that does not have a beach along its Western shores is Bird Key. The five drivable keys that have beaches are:
- Longboat Key - no public beach
- Beaches on Lido Key - 3 public beaches


- Bird Key - no public beach
- Beaches on Siesta Key - 3 public beaches


- Beaches in the Venice area - 5 public beaches
- Beaches in the Englewood area - 2 public beaches
Six beaches with wheel chair accessibility:
Seven beaches with lifeguard on duty year round
- Siesta Beach
- Lido Beach
- South Lido Beach - on weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day
- Nokomis Beach
- North Jetty Beach
- Venice Beach
- Manasota Beach
Sarasota County Public Beach Rules:
- No glass containers on the beach
- No boating in designated swimming areas
- Check for designated smoking areas
- Check for designated dog areas
- No fires on the beach, except in park grills
- Destruction or removal of dune vegetation
- Do not disturbing sea turtles or their nests
- No spearfishing within 200 feet of swimming areas
- No scuba or skin diving without flags
